Hautreaktionen zählen zu den häufigsten unerwünschten Nebenwirkungen neuer antitumoraler Medikamente wie molekular zielgerichteter Tumortherapien und einiger neuer Immunonkologika — aber auch die Chemotherapie führt zu belastenden Hautveränderungen. Eine frühzeitige Behandlung und, wenn immer möglich, eine Prophylaxe sind für die erfolgreiche onkologische Behandlung von entscheidender Bedeutung. Die S3-Leitlinie „Supportive Therapie bei onkologischen PatientInnen“ enthält Empfehlungen für eine standardisierte und evidenzbasierte Prophylaxe und Behandlung von Tumortherapie-induzierten Hauttoxizitäten.
