Durch rasche Fortschritte in der interventionellen und konservativen Therapie der koronaren Herzkrankheit (KHK), die sich von der stabilen Angina pectoris bis zum akuten Koronarsyndrom manifestieren kann, mussten die Leitlinien in kurzen Abständen geändert werden. Im Folgenden werden einige wesentliche Fortschritte herausgegriffen, die in die neuen Leitlinien eingegangen sind.
