What happened in food policy in 2017? Why did it happen? And what will the situation look like in 2018? These are the three major questions raised in the Global Food Policy Report 2018from the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), which comes hot off the press. Accordingly, the report reviews major food policy developments and events from the past year and looks ahead to the year 2018. It covers a total of 142 glossy pages, enriched with some powerful tables and figures and some great shots from the field. For those who are not yet familiar with the IFPRI annual reports: a number of well-known and reputable researchers from or affiliated to IFPRI provide important inputs, partly in tandem with other experts.
