Schädigungen des Knorpels im Zuge der Sportausübung können akut oder chronisch auftreten. Das Beschwerdebild zeigt sich in Form von anhaltenden Schmerzen, die anfänglich bei Bewegungen auftreten und sich in weiterer Folge auch im Ruhezustand manifestieren.
