Abstract
Thispaper showsthe results offorming simulations of multi-layerpre-consolidated8H satin weavePPS laminates on a wingstiffenergeometry. The results are validated againstforming experiments, performed atStorkFokker AESP,theNetherlands. A shell typeFEformulationis used toincluderealisticbendingbehaviourof thelaminate. The intra-ply properties of the laminate are measured with bias extension experiments. The frictional properties, for both tool-ply andply-plyfriction, were measured using a newlydeveloped setup andincludedin the simulations.
