State-of-the-art Management Accounting for SMEs

In many small and medium sized enterprises, management accountants have not been trained to adapt to the new standards that digitalization sets. Others do not even have any management accounting at all and therefore risk losing their competitive advantage or even bankruptcy. Contracting external management accountants can be a solution for many such companies.

  • Many small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) operate without state-of-the-art management accounting and do not fully exploit the opportunities of digitalization.

  • As SMEs often lack the funds and skilled personnel for internal management accounting, they should consider contracting external management accountants.

  • The results of a survey demonstrate that many SMEs know about the possibility of working with external management accountants or have already used their services.
