Explaining the law in a manner that is easy for a “lay person” to comprehend, yet complete enough to be a useful resource for professional and business purposes is an art form and balancing act. Practicing art law attorney and scholar Leonard Duboff and his collaborator Amanda Bryan, also an attorney and publishing law professor, have managed to straddle the divide and explain all the myriad of legal issues facing a publisher in today’s digital environment without overwhelming the reader with legalese.
