Résumé
La phase de préparation à l’appareillage d’une personne amputée de jambe ou de cuisse constitue désormais une étape importante de la prise en charge de ces personnes. Il s’avère que l’utilisation d’un manchon en silicone au cours de cette préprothétisation présente des avantages indéniables sur un plan médical et économique comparativement aux méthodes de bandages ou autres techniques employées jusqu’à présent. Les résultats d’une étude multicentrique française confortent ce principe déjà présenté dans les pays germaniques.

Abstract
The phase of preparation to the bracing of a person cut down by leg or thigh constitutes from now on an important stage of the assumption of responsibility of these people. It proves that the use of a silicone sleeve during this preprothetisation presents undeniable advantages on a medical and economic level compared to the methods of bindings or other techniques employed until now. The results of a French multicentric study consolidate this principle already presented in the Germanic countries.
