Abstract

Results are presented for static tests of precast piles 6–24 m long, and static probing of soils at experimental proving grounds. Negative-friction forces of soils prone to slump-type settlement and total pile resistance are estimated on the basis of data derived from static probing of the soils. The need for correction of individual positions taken in Body of Rules 50-102-2003 in conformity with Construction Rule and Regulation 2.02.03-85 is noted.
