Correction to: Scientometrics (2018) 115:395–413  https://doi.org/10.1007/s11192-017-2586-5

In the original publication of the article, the following minor errors had occurred. The corrected text has been provided in Correction.

On page 401, in the section titled “EGM and NDGM models: a short review”, the sentence should read “If X(0) is the original sequence of raw data then the time response formula of X(0) will be given as…”

On page 408, in the second para, based on NDGM-based simulated data, there is a doubling time (Dt) sequence, which should read as below
$$ {\text{``}}{\text{India}}_{(2.121)} < {\text{ Pakistan}}_{(2.171)} < {\text{ China}}_{(2.204)} < {\text{ USA}}_{(2.243)} $$
Because of fast relative growth rate, the time required by India to double its number of publications is shortest (2.121 years), followed by that of Pakistan, China, and USA.”
On page 409, in the second para, for doubling time, the sequence should be read as,
$$ {\text{``}}{\text{Pakistan}}_{(2.037)}< {\text{ India}}_{(2.051)}< {\text{ China}}_{(2.107)} <{\text{ USA}}_{(2.247)}{\text{''}} $$

On page 404, Table 1, fifth column, “616,634” should read as “616,664”.

On page 405, Table 2, fifth column “476,255” should read as “476,278”.
