Small Business Economics Journal editor of the year award
Professor Enrico Santarelli of the University of Bologna is the winner of the 2017 Small Business Economics Journal editor of the year award.
Enrico Santarelli (1957), after receiving a Laurea in Political Sciences from the University of Macerata (Italy), completed his graduate studies at the University of Sussex, where he defended a D.Phil. dissertation on “Finance and Technological Change.” In 1987, he became Assistant Professor of Economic Policy at the University of Teramo (Italy). In 2000, he was appointed as a Full Professor of Economic Policy at the University of Bologna, where he had served as an Associate Professor since 1992. From 2003 to 2009, Santarelli was also a Research Professor at the Max Planck Institute of Economics (Entrepreneurship, Growth and Public Policy Group) in Jena, Germany. In 2010, he served as Senior scientist (GH40) at the Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (JRC-IPTS) of the European Commission. He has been a visiting professor at numerous universities around the world, including the University of California at Berkeley, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Maastricht, Saarland, Stanford, and Sussex.
Professor Santarelli has performed an exceptional service to Small Business Economics Journal over the years as a reviewer, Editorial Board Member, Associate Editor, and Editor. His dedication to SBEJ has increased the quality of its scholarship over the years, helped scholars navigate the currents of research, and assisted the Editors-in-Chief in publishing the best research possible.
