It is our greatest pleasure to announce Gábor Lente as the new Editor-in-Chief of Reaction Kinetics, Mechanisms and Catalysis.
It is unnecessary to introduce him as he has been with the journal since 2009 as Managing Editor. István Fábián, the former Editor-in-Chief, and Gábor have invested a great deal of efforts in rejuvenating RKMC and bringing it into the group of the most acknowledged journals of this research field. We are more than grateful for their expertise and commitment, and for the results that have been continuously reflected in the journal metrics, including the growing number of published papers, citations, impact factors and online usage.
István took over the steering wheel at a crucial moment in the journal’s life and he has played a prominent role in maintaining and increasing the quality of the journal, with the brave move of amending the title and scope in 2010. We would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his valuable contribution and we rely on his rich experience in the future.
We are dedicated to staying on the path taken in 2009. We are confident that Gábor Lente is the most appropriate and experienced person to manage the further development of the journal and to meet the new challenges on the way, and wish him to enjoy this new position.
