Identification of the thermal properties of materials using methods of the calculus of variations

Abstract
A solution of the heat-conduction problem when a linear pulsed source of heat acts in the plane of contact of two semibounded bodies, obtained using methods of the variational-iterational calculus, is presented. The results of tests of a number of heat-insulating materials are given.
