Study of the Effect of Heating Conditions During Directional Crystallization on Structural Parameters of Intermetallic VKNA-4UMono Alloy

Article
  • 46 Downloads

Comparative studies are provided for the effect of heating conditions for directional crystallization in two types of unit: with liquid-metal cooling (unit UVNK-9A), i.e., LMC process, and with radiation cooling (unit of the firm ALD), i.e., high rate solidification (HRC) process, on VKNA-4UMono alloy cast structure parameters. Comparative analysis is provide for microstructure and strength properties obtained with short-term tensile tests for castings of alloy VKNA-4UMono [111] from both units.
