Method of Obtaining the Hodograph of an Asynchronous Mode with Given Characteristics for Testing the Operation of a Distance Relay

A technique is examined for obtaining a hodograph of asynchronous mode with the required characteristics, with the objectives of conducting a check of distance relays of relay protection devices and automatic equipment. The currents and voltages obtained by means of this methodology are supplied as input to checking devices with the aid of any test facility that possesses the function of playing back oscillograms recorded in the Comtrade format.
