A model is constructed of a carding machine designed for processing long fibres, for example of wool, blended with chemical fibres, which includes elements of operation simulation: loading by receiving drum, transporting by main drum, carding by operating roller pairs, and discharging by detachable drum. The model helps study the nature of the transitional process not only with respect to the linear density at the machine outlet but also with respect to the components of the blend.
