Phenolic Acid Profile of Six Wild Mushroom Species by HPLC-DAD

Mushrooms have been used for centuries both as food and medicine all over the world because they are rich in proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals [1, 2]. The medicinal properties of mushrooms are due to bioactive compounds such as phenolics, terpenoids, lectins, and polysaccharides [3, 4, 5]. Among these biologically active substances present in mushrooms, phenolics have attracted much attention due to their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antitumor effects . The aim of this work was to analyze the phenolic and organic acid profile of mushroom species, namely, Agrocybe cylindracea (DC.) Maire, Coprinus comatus (O.F. Mull.) Pers., Clathrus rubber P. Micheli ex Pers., Hypholoma fasciculare (Huds.) P. Kumm., Lentinus tigrinus (Bull.) Fr., and Mitrophora semilibera (DC.)
