A New Dibenzocyclooctadiene Lignan from Kadsura longipedunculata

A new dibenzocyclooctadiene lignan, longipedunin E (1), and a new natural product, benzoyl oxokadsuranol (2), together with seven known compounds 3–9, were isolated from the methanol extract of the stems of Kadsura longipedunculata. The structure elucidation of the new compound was primarily based on spectroscopic analyses including HR-ESI-MS, IR, UV, 1D and 2D NMR.
