Utility of 4,6-Diacetylresorcinol in Heterocyclic Synthesis

This review describes the preparation and structure of 4,6-diacetylresorcinol, as well as its utility as a building block for the synthesis of isolated and fused heterocyclic systems with pharmacological interest which have been described in the literature published until 2014.
