Optimization of Mass Transfer Separation Elements of Columnar Equipment for Natural Gas Preparation

  • Published:
Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Aims and scope

Factors affecting liquid film movement in a contact pipe of a mass transfer separation element are analyzed theoretically. Liquid movement regimes are studied, and its optimum height on a vortex plate bed is determined. Results of theoretical and experimental studies make it possible to determine the optimum mass transfer separation element construction providing minimum splash over and a developed phase contact surface.
