Abstract

A highly efficient and green synthesis of novel, potentially medicinally important oxindole derivatives has been developed using a fully recoverable heterogeneous copper ferrite nanocatalyst in water as a green solvent. The catalyst is magnetically separable and recyclable up to the fourth run without significant loss of activity. The products were obtained in high yields and purities via an easy workup procedure.
