Electrical Power Vision 2040 for Europe—a EUREL study

Abstract

A special task force of EUREL, the European organisation of electrical engineers, has recently published the study “Power Vision 2040 for Europe”. The study investigates the actual status of the power supply of the EU27+, estimates the future electricity demand and identifies future applicable technologies. As part of the study scenarios for the future European power supply were developed.

Zusammenfassung

Eine Arbeitsgruppe von EUREL, der europäischen Organisation nationaler elektrotechnischer Verbände, hat jüngst die Studie „Electrical Power Vision 2040 for Europe“ veröffentlicht. Die Studie untersucht den aktuellen Status der Stromversorgung Europas, schätzt den zukünftigen Stromverbrauch bis 2050 ab und beschreibt die verfügbaren Technologien für die zukünftige Stromversorgung der EU27+. Ein Teil der Studie befasst sich mit Szenarien für die zukünftige Elektrizitätsversorgung.
