Zusammenfassung

Es wird über den Fall eines schweren, isolierten Thoraxtraumas berichtet. Die ungewöhnliche Konstellation von schwerer einseitiger Lungenkontusion mit Rippenserienfraktur und kontralateralem Bronchusabriss erforderte eine komplexe Versorgung, bei der die extrakorporale Membranoxygenierung (ECMO) erfolgreich eingesetzt wurde.

Abstract

This article presents a case of severe isolated blunt chest trauma. The unusual constellation of one-sided lung contusion with serial rib fractures and the contralateral rupture of the main bronchus necessitated a complex treatment for which the extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) procedure was successful employed.
