Influence of field orientation on the magnetization dynamics of nanoparticles

Abstract

Using the finite-temperature Landau–Lifshitz–Gilbert equation we investigate the magnetization dynamics and its control of a monodomain ferromagnetic nanoparticle subjected to short magnetic-field pulses. In particular we clarify the role of the magnetic field orientation and provide analytical and numerical results indicating the optimum field tilting to achieve a faster, low-field magnetization switching.
