A Review of the Discrete Wavenumber Method

  • M. Bouchon

— We present a review of the discrete wavenumber (DWN) method. The method, introduced by Bouchon and Aki (1977), allows the simple and accurate calculation of the complete Green's functions for many problems in elastodynamics.

Key words: Wave propagation, synthetic seismograms, discrete wavenumber, earthquake ground motion.
