Development and application of new NOLA technology at Cleveland Cliffs
The Cleveland Cliffs NOLA electronics and software upgrade is a Windows-based system that simultaneously controls two Texas Nuclear NOLAs and associated sampling. It uses new spectrum analysis and algorithms to produce accurate, linear silica measurement with slurries that range from 5% through 50% solids. This linearity allows Cleveland Cliffs to achieve a reproducible procedural calibration. The hardware consists of readily available shelf items, is extremely redundant and eliminates all NIM bus modules.
