Abstract

Modern CAE systems can now effectively analyse most components and systems within an engine. The 3D geometry is however normally generated manually using traditional engineering skills and experience. Integral Powertrain has developed a radical, parametric, rule-based design approach in which templates are used to increase automation and incorporate knowledge, thus reducing development time whilst increasing quality.
