  • 50 Accesses

Abstract

When developing the new 4 cylinder engine M271, the Munich-based company Iwis Ketten was system development partner for the chain drives of camshafts and Lanchester drive. The results of this cooperation made it possible to achieve smaller measurements, reduced weight and lower noise levels. This article describes the development process, from specifications to full implementation.
