Zusammenfassung
Die dreidimensionalen Illusionsbilder sind ein Welterfolg geworden. Als physiologische Grundlage der räumlichen Empfindung dient die Querdisparation der beidäugig wahrgenommenen Bilder innerhalb des Panum-Areals. Die verschiedenen Ebenen der Stereogramme werden durch unterschiedlich große Disparationen in Computer-generierten Aufzeichnungen registriert und die Auswertung durch erlernte Erfahrung ergänzt.
Die Zusammenhänge zwischen allen diesen Faktoren werden im vorliegenden Beitrag erläutert.

Summary
The three-dimensional illusion pictures were a success all over the world. The physiologic basis of appreciation of depth is the horizontal disparity of binocularly perceived images within Panum’s area of binocular single vision.
The different planes of the stereograms are interpreted by disparities varying in extent in computer-generated records on the basis of experience. The correlation between all these factors are discussed in the following paper.
