Summary

A 9-month-old female infant is presented with symptoms of polydipsia and polyuria. These symptoms were due to excessive administration of fluid by the mother. This fluid was given in order to prevent crying of the baby. A gradual restriction of the fluid intake resulted in the disappearance of polyuria.
