In dit literatuuronderzoek is bekeken of bewegingsstimulering psychische klachten kan voorkómen en verminderen. Er zijn sterke aanwijzingen dat bewegingsstimulering psychische klachten kan verminderen. Verder zijn er wel aanwijzingen voor positieve effecten van bewegingsstimulering op de preventie van psychische klachten, maar vertonen de beschikbare onderzoeken nog veel inconsistente resultaten. Het is onduidelijk of bewegingsstimulering verzuim vanwege psychische klachten kan reduceren.
De conclusie is dat bewegingsstimulering een belangrijk middel kan zijn om arbeidsrelevante psychische klachten te voorkómen of te verminderen.
