Effect of hormones on direct somatic embryogenesis in sugarcane

Abstract

Direct somatic embryogenesis in sugarcane was induced with a combination of 2,4 D and BAP. there was no interphase of callus formation. The plants were regenerated from somatic embryos in hormone free MS media.
