Summary
The esophageal papilloma is one of the rarest tumors of the esophagus. It is found by chance; generally single, more common in distal 3d of the esophagus, its diameter is smaller than 10 mm.
Its origin is unknown and we have to carry out the polypectomy to confirm its benignity by histological examination.
We always have to achieve a careful examination of the esophagus by also using the supravital staining because of its similarity to the squamous esophageal cancer.
