Summary

The alpha1 antitrypsin phenotype distribution in 202 adults with rheumatoid arthritis was determined by starch gel electrophoresis with antigen-antibody crossed electrophoresis and thin layer isoelectric focusing. A comparison with a control population of 2,148 apparently healthy adults revealed no significant differences in the phenotype distributions.
