Studies in the taxonomy of the Polypores II

Abstract

The following genera are redefined:AlbatrellusS. F. Gray,HeterobasidionBref.,HaploporusBond. et Sing. ex Sing.,FomitopsisP. Karst. andRigidoporusMurrill two new subgenera are described:Polyporus subgen.DendropolyporusPouz. (type:Polyporus umbellatus) andRigidoporus subgen.NeooxyporusPouz. (type:Polyporus latemarginatus); the genusOxyporus (Bourd. etGalz.)Donk is classified as a subgenus of the genusRigidoporus,Murrill and the generaBjerkanderaP. Karst. andLeptoporusquél. are classified as subgenera of the genusTyromycesP. Karst. The new subfamilyAlbatrelloideaePouz. (genera:Albatrellus andGrifola) is described and 14 new specific combinations are made. The new genusIrpicodonPouz. (type:Irpex pendulus) is proposed.
