On exploiting the single-lepton event structure for the top search

Summary

We discuss whether the event structure can be useful for the top search in the single-lepton channel at the Tevatron, where the main obstacle is a considerable background from QCD W+multijet production. We restrict our discussion to the case of a standard-model top of heavy mass,Mtop>100 GeV.
