Einige ALGOL-Programme für Sortierverfahren

Summary

Several ALGOL programs for sorting procedures are presented and their organization and applications are briefly discussed. Five of the programmes were checked on an IBM 650 and some examples were run. Sorting times for the different procedures are compared; however these results will not be generally valid for different types of computer. ALGOL 60 was shown to be well suited in practice to the representation of sorting procedures.
