Summary

The contribution to theg-2 of the muon from the sixth-order (three loops) Feynman graphs with vacuum polarization insertions in QED perturbation theory has been evaluated in closed analytical form as a function of the ratio of the lepton massesme/mμ andmτ/mμ. The result agrees with the numerical evaluations and with most of the analytical expressions already existing in the literature. The disagreements with some previous analytical results are shown and commented.
