Electrical conductivity and oxygen stoichiometry of SrFeO3-δ

Inorganic Materials Aims and scope

Abstract

Solid-electrolyte coulometry, thermogravimetry, and conductivity (σ) data obtained at temperatures from 20 to 1000°C and oxygen partial pressures from 1 to 105 Pa were used to construct the equilibriump-T-x andp-T-σ phase diagrams of strontium ferrate, SrFeO3-σ. Strontium ferrate was shown to bep-type throughout the temperature andp O 2 ranges studied. Cooling polycrystalline SrFeO3-σ in flowing oxygen or air was found to be accompanied by sharp changes in resistivity
