Asymptotic limit of vertex functions in perturbation theory

Summary

The asymptotic behaviour of the Feynman diagrams for the vertex function with two external lines on the mass shell is studied. The leading contributions of each order are explicitly summed in the case of spinor electrodynamics with heavy photons. The connection with the off-shell case is also discussed.

Riassunto

Si studia il comportamento asintotico dei diagrammi di Feynmann associati alla funzione vertice con due linee esterne sul mass-shell. I contributi dominanti a ciascun ordine sono sommati esplicitamente nel caso dell’elettrodinamica con fotoni di massa diversa da zero. Viene anche discussa la connessione con il caso off-shell.
