Low-temperature thermal conductivity of impure insulators

Summary

The paper gives calculations on the thermal conductivity of nonmetals at low temperatures in which the specimen is considered to be split up into a number of rods with diffuse scattering at the boundaries. The present approach gives a reasonable fit to the experiments on germanium.

Questo lavoro fornisce calcoli sulla conduttività termica dei nonmetalli a basse temperature, nei quali il campione è considerato tagliato in un numero di bastoncini con scattering diffuso ai bordi. Questo approccio mostra una ragionavole approssimazione con gli esperimenti sul germanio.
