On the production of proton-rich heavy shielded elements froms-elements in systems at high temperature

Summary
The possibility of explaining the observed abundance (or part of it) of164Er by examining the isobar chain164Dy→164Ho→164Er has been studied. The β processes that may transform164Dy in164Ho and164Er and those which may bring164Er back to164Ho and164Dy must be taken into account. The mechanism analysed is found to be efficient for the production of164Er. Its application to other p-rich heavy shielded elements is in principle possible.

Si è studiata la possibilità di spiegare l’abbondanza dell’164Er (o parte di essa), attraverso l’esame della catena isobarica164Dy164Ho164Er. Sono stati presi in considerazione i processi β che trasformano il164Dy in164Ho ed164Er, ed i processi inversi. Si trova che il processo proposto è efficiente per la produzione dell’164Er. Tale processo può essere in linea di principio applicato al calcolo dell’abbondanza di altri elementi pesanti, schermati e ricchi di protoni.
