Abstract
The specific features of spectrochemical properties of active silica-gel films in air media with various pH have been studied. SiO2 films were obtained by acid hydrolysis of tetraethoxysilane. The optical properties were controlled by immobilization of indicators (bromocresol purple, phenol red). The possibility of using them as optical-fiber sensors is shown.
