Abstract

We have studied high pressure effects on heavy fermion antiferromagnets CeAl2 and CeCuAl3 by NMR up to 15kbar. In CeAl2 the27Al Knight shiftK (∞ χ) decreased remarkably with increasing pressurep, indicating marked increase ofT K withp. With decrease ofT N byp, a transition from modulated to type II ordering was obserbed forp≥12kbar by NMR belowT N . CeCuAl3 (T N =2.5K) was affected much sensitively byp, asT N disappeared forp≥12kbar.
