Large-scale inhomogeneities of the tropical Atlantic temperature field

Analysis of Observations and Methods of Calculating Oceanic Hydrophysical Fields


Horizontal gradients of the temperature fields have been calculated by the climatic temperature/ salinity data. Large-scale inhomogeneities and the areas of maximal temperature gradients have been identified and their spatio-temporal variability determined.
