Abstract
Two methods of minimizing the errors of optico-acoustic detection and ranging of objects that take into account the absence of accurate knowledge concerning the speed of sound in air are analyzed. The first method is based ona priori information (drawing) concerning the test object. The second method involves the use of a gauge body, in particular, a sphere.
