Summary
Low-temperature time-resolved luminescence experiments with picosecond resolution have been performed on excitons in a microcavity containing InGaAs quantum wells. The decay curves are very dependent on the energy difference between the cavity mode and the exciton. They agree qualitatively with a model which takes into account a reservoir at the exciton energy and two splitted radiant states.
