Abstract

We report the allele frequencies of polymorphic red cells adenilatechinase (AK), adenosindeaminase (ADA) and 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase (6-PGD) enzymes in a population living in the province of Cosenza (Calabria, Southern Italy). AK*1 (0.957), ADA*1 (0.942) and 6-PGD*A (0.965) frequencies are compared with samples obtained from other italian regions.
