Conclusions

  1. 1.

The report data for the preceding year indicate the efficient use of the existing ZPSS both in pump and generator regimes.

  2. 2.

To eliminate accelerated wear of the equipment it is advisable to reduce the use of the units in an SC regime, for which it is necessary to provide for putting into operation additional means of regulating the voltage in the 500-kV supply line adjoining the ZPSS.

  3. 3.

The expediency of works on the further increase of power and storage of the upper reservoir is confirmed by calculations of the expected balances for characteristic average days of each month of 1966, from which it follows that already in January 1966 the excess electric power and energy of TPSs providing central heating output of Mosénergo during the nighttime off-peak period exceed the total charge power and energy of the existing ZPSS and the charge power and energy ZPSS-2 planned for putting into operation after 200.
