Summary

The influence of the electroosmotic flow profile on the efficiency of capillary electrophoresis for a wide range of buffer concentrations and capillary diameters is studied. Thermal effects in the capillary, the finite size of solute molecules and their interactions with the capillary wall are also taken into consideration. The dependence of capillary electrophoresis efficiency and resolution on the zeta-potential values is investigated.
